Practice drawings for a character I'm going to be entering into SDL. He's another feudalized character form the Gatekeeper universe, only one that none of you have seen before. I'm not going to go into detail with his character yet, but i'll give you some info so you can make an inference as to what he's like. I still need to find a position that does him justice to put on the ID. I'm also going to try and enter him into the Gokuburi Gumi.

Name: Jack O' Lantern, In Japan, most call him Bakabocha, "Pumpkin Ghost".

Mystery shrouds exactly where this foreigner came from, although it is clearly Ireland. Had his voice not become as cackled, shrill, warped, and gaspy as it is, he would have a heavy accent to be sure.

Jack O' Lantern is a person of legend in his homeland (altho at this point in time, the stories aren't really old...). Jack O' Lantern is not a villain, but he is even less of a hero. According to his story, he led a majority of his life being very dishonest and generally not nice. When the Devil tried to take his soul, using his incredible wit he was able to trick his way out of it, three times. And when it came time for his life to end, Satan was so furious he wouldn't allow Jack into his domain and he certainly couldn't enter Heaven with his track record. So God decided on his sentence: Jack would travel the world in a state a Purgatory; his soul neither in Heaven or Hell; with but a single lantern to light his way, walking the Earth untill judgement day when he might finally rest.

It's said that beneath Jack's mask is the mark symbolizing his curse, the very same that was put on the forehead of Cain, however, no one has seen his face.

The mask he wears is actually made of steel crafted and painted by Druids with such detail that it looks as fragile as an actual pumpkin shell. The wooden stub on top of the mask is always burning, although no one has ever seen him replace it with another.

He attacks with a knife he carries on his belt (not drawn), as well as a bottle or two. His skin is so packed with hallucinagins, alchohol, and other more sinister drugs that anyone who comes into contact with him will feel a virtual roullette of symptoms, from dazes to fear-related hallucinations.

Despite his lack of muscle, his bones are incredibley hard. His body is so light that he can jump extreme distances as well as dodge an attack that even the most seasoned warriors could not.
